This page is for possible future content on this website. There's no guarantee of when or if I'll actually finish these, but I'm puting them here just to show what ideas I currently have.
A while back, I thought about trying to repurpose one of my old computers. It's very old, so I figured that a lightweight Linux distro would be what I'd want but when looking into them, it seems that there's some differing opinions on what a lightweight distro is. Some were lightweight as in smaller installation size, while others were lightweight as in less RAM usage. While I'm still not sure about actually repurposing my old computer for something, I have though about checking out each distro and comparing them. I'll admit that I wont be testing them on actual hardware and as a result, my test won't be accurate to real use, but I think running them through a VM (probably just virt manager, unless something doesn't work correctly) should still provide a close approximation.
I currently have no progress on this as, while I did try some of them in virt manager a while back, I never marked down the results for some reason.
I've been playing PC games on android for a few years now and I've gained a pretty decent knowledge of methods. The only problem is, is that that Google is currently planning on ruining sideloading and most of these apps only exist on third party app stores. This means that, on top of the fact that there's still a lot I don't fully understand with these apps, Google may render my guide fully obsolete. I may still make it as a "fuck you" to Google but I'm not confidant in my knowledge of these apps, so I wouldn't know if my guide would be usable to most people. If I do make it, it might be more of a list with descriptions/reviews of my experience with the apps and not an actual guide on how to use them.
I also have no progress in this either, nor do I really have the desire to. I'd prefer to find and promote some alternative to android, but there currently isn't a viable option for me right now.
I've been thinking about the possibility of adding moding websites and databases, which will include romhacking websites as well. I'm aware of some places I could add but I don't know exactly how I want to add them. I have the options of adding them to a separate portion of the comparison of game and appstores page or creating a different page for them, and either creating a chart for them or listing them out with reviews. Since some of these are for specific games or platforms, I'd want to handle them differently from how I handle game and app stores.
The only progress I have on this is just the places I know of but I don't have much experience with using them, so I don't quite yet have a full opinion of them. So far I know about and remember Steam Workshop, ModDB, Luanti's ContentDB, Romhacking.net, LoversLab, and Nexus Mods (which is the only platform out of these that I don't really support). But like I said above, I won't properly add them to this website until I know exactly how I want to add them and I'd also like to use them more so I can have a full opinion on them.
